The Elkhorn T-Series reel is a mid-arbor reel that features an over-sized cork-on-Delrin disk drag system for deep, smooth, controlled stopping power. This proven drag design ranges from free spinning to absolute brute force strength. A perfect choice for fresh or saltwater applications at a sensible price.

All Elkhorn reels are fully machine-cut from aircraft-quality T6 aluminum billet stock for supreme strength and maximum corrosion resistance. Low inertia drag systems result in minimum start-up resistance. Precision ball bearings glide over a polished chromium alloy spindle to create the silky smooth drag and retrieve upon which our reels have built their reputation.

Available in Pewter, Dark Blue, Pink and Raspberry.

I own a T-1 matched to a Traveler 4 wt. This reel has never failed me in the 6 years I have owned it. In addition I have the T-3 matched to a Big Game 8 wt. Awesome drag! I have used this setup off the coast of Southern California, paddy hopping for Yellowtails & Dorados in the 10 to 15 lb class. All I can say is Smooth, very smooth putting the breaks on the blistering runs, Yellowtails are known for. I will be getting the T-4 before they are phased out for Bull Reds in the Lower Laguna Madre. Only recommendation I have is….”rinse the reel well after every use, especially after a day on the surf.

I have owned one of these reels for 8 years now. It is my favorite reel on my Elkhorn pack rod, and I also use it on one of my other 9′ 3 wt. rods. It has plenty of use and it is still going strong. Plus, I think the reel is cool looking.

Thank you very much for the instructions on changing the retrieve on my T-Series Reel from right to left. The reel is a work of art, solid mechanically and beautiful.
