Al is the brand manager for Peak Vises, has authored books and articles, is an editor for Fly Fusion magazine, and hosts destination trips to locations including Ascension Bay and steelhead trips to Oregon.

The first (Tasty Snacks I) is for the patterns he will tie on Saturday, including midges, mayflies and leeches, and another menu (Tasty Snacks II) for his daughter’s newly expanded “MeOhMy Coffee and Pie”, 3310 W. County Rd. 54G, LaPorte, CO. So this spring and summer when you are heading up to fish the Poudre or North Park with Eric’s patterns, you can start your day with a stop for coffee and pie, and maybe even a lunch sandwich to go, before throwing tasty snacks at the fish!
We are glad to get Eric on the other side of the video camcorder. He’s been fishing the northern Front Range for many years, and his experience will be reflected in the patterns he demonstrates.

On Saturday Marty Staab will be autographing copies of Steven B. Schweitzer’s eagerly anticipated book “Designing Poppers, Sliders & Divers” now available in the shop!

In between autographs, Marty will be tying “TBD” patterns, a series super effective flies that fish compete for in any water this side of the International Date Line.
Actually, the patterns are “to be determined”, but there will be a recipe sheet by Saturday Morning.
Marty is a last minute substitute for regularly scheduled Mark McMillan, who regrets he is unavailable until later. I heard he’s on tour with the American Pickers show, searching for new and unusual fly tying materials in the barns of midwestern America.

As a 12 year old in Michigan, Jim showed his early tying efforts to his Sunday school teacher, Art Neumann (one of the founders of Trout Unlimited), who was “not favorably impressed”.
He’s had some time to work on it, and now we are pleased to have him as our guest this Saturday. His expertise covers northern Colorado and southern Wyoming, and his tying style and patterns are integral to his success in fishing these waters.
